On 17 and 18 November 2016, the BIOTOP Partner Event once again took place in Vienna as the most important networking event for the group, which by now has grown to 80 partners. The beautiful classical ballroom of the Parkhotel Schönbrunn was the stage for atmospheric and informative meeting days.

Many BIOTOP Partners and employees already came together on the evening before the beginning of the official event to celebrate the kickoff with a welcome cocktail in the Gloriette Bar. The two following days saw an intensive exchange of experiences as well as the much-anticipated annual presentation by founder Peter Petrich on his most recent technical innovations.

The various external lectures, like the one by architect Herwig Ronacher, who spoke about the important role and huge opportunities for Natural Pools in hotel architecture, were likewise fascinating – as was the discussion block on the topic of prefabricated pool basins.

The design competition, which was harder-fought than ever before in 2016 with 36 entries, is the highlight of every Partner Event. The suspense was tangible as the attendants waited for the winners to be announced. Before that, however, another traditional part of the BIOTOP Partner Event took place: the show event. This year, the “Original BIOTOP CHOIR” took the stage to roaring applause. The goal was to unite all BIOTOP Partners into a chorus, thereby giving the group a single unified voice in the literal sense: ONE VOICE BIOTOP – simultaneously the motto of the entire event.
