Combining the Old and the New with a Living Pool

This Living Pool was built in an existing garden directly adjacent to the house. Several aspects had to be taken into consideration when integrating the pool into the garden. A cozy terrace was to provide seating for large groups in the area between the house and the Living Pool. A cabana, a shower and a toilet were also to be installed near the pool. This was accomplished by building an elongated structure vis-à-vis from the house, which consisted of a narrow washroom complex that at the same time provided a generous bench for sitting around the terrace. The crowning jewel, a beautiful old beech tree, was integrated into the planning, allowing the old and the new to be perfectly combined.
