Natural Swimming Pools Australia
au-3749 Yackandandah, Victoria
Built on a steep hill sloping down towards the Yarra river in Melbourne, this pool was designed to blend into the native Australian garden design that was planned for the site. The Australian climate is very harsh and a lot of care went into the planning of the site and choosing local plants native to the area. This Natural Pool fits perfectly into this native landscape, bringing a backyard in the city back to what it once was: Frogs, dragonflies and lizards have moved back to create a very special place to spend time in. A darker pool tile was used to enhance the reflections of the big gum trees on the water surface, which is another great feature of this garden. The “Fairfield Pool” is featured in the pool exhibition in the Australian pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2016.
