A Natural Pool in a Futuristic Environment

This graceful, futuristic hideaway - private residence of the top vintner Theresa Pöckl - was enhanced with a natural pool. The design element water played an important role in the overall concept of the “Cuvée House”. The 105 m² pool nestles against the straight architectural lines and also continues into the landscape with simple linear shapes. The house walls also act as the border of the pool, so it looks like the house is set in the water. The planted sand filter gives the impression that it is growing into the house and provides a perfect paddling and swimming area for the young grandchildren. Theresa Pöckl is enthusiastic: "In my dreams my house was always set near water. With the natural pool I could now make this dream come true. But I did not want a ‘foreign body' and thus I decided against a sterile pool."
