Natural Pool from Tuscany in the Middle of Vienna

The property is in one of the most densely built districts in Vienna and is not visible from outside. Thus the surprise on entering the inner courtyard is breathtaking, as it is hardly imaginable that such a green oasis exists in the middle of this urban setting. There is a Tuscan flair everywhere in the front building, just the way the owners like it. They absolutely wanted to continue the theme in their new garden. A lively dialogue developed between the severe rectangle of the inner courtyard, which is enclosed by a wall, and the natural pool in a loosely curved organic form. The plants and animals in and around the water bring nature back to the city. The sundeck is in the warmest place situated at the end of the elongated courtyard. The high walls provide a Mediterranean climate which is idea for sunbathers. The way the sun reflects on the surface of the water creates this bright Mediterranean light that automatically puts us in a holiday mood.
