This 104 m² Natural Pool was constructed in summer 2014 using bracket elements. One year later, it has achieved its full splendour in regard to plants and water quality. Built on a natural slope, it offers swimmers a breathtaking view onto the Vienna Woods. The joint owners of the semi-detached house, a modern concrete building with wood paneling and large window areas, decided on a Natural Pool because it integrated ideally with their organic garden and bantam enclosure as well as being suited to the location on the edge of a small village. The families’ children were of course a driving force behind the idea, as such a pool represents a veritable paradise for kids with its possibilities to swim and observe the various animals that settle there. The depth of 1.2 metres near the pool’s edge was thus chosen with the children in mind, with a full 2.2 metres depth further out beckoning to the grown-ups. The location and execution of this pool are so charming that numerous media have reported on it with photo and video shoots. It also plays the central role in one of BIOTOP’s own videos.
