Conversion of a Swimming Pool to a Natural Pool

With this project the partner company "Teich und Pool" tackled the job of converting a swimming pool, built without a permit on the wooded outskirts of Vienna, into a BIOTOP natural pool. One particular difficulty was that the construction site was only accessible by climbing about 100 steps on foot. The materials were brought to the site and around 40m³ removed from the site by helpers via these stairs. The conversion was successful in preventing the pool from being demolished (the official decision for the demolition had already been issued) and in ensuring that the pool with its wonderful view of Vienna could remain.
