On 22 and 23 November 2017, the BIOTOP Partner Event, annual highlight for BIOTOP and its Partner group that currently includes 80 members, took place in Rotterdam. A hotel located near the centre of town and directly on the waterfront of the old port provided a wonderful backdrop for productive exchange between the BIOTOP headquarters and its network members.

Already on the evening before the two-day convention, a large number of BIOTOP Partners met at the bar of the Inntel Hotel Rotterdam Centre to enjoy a welcome cocktail and discuss the topics for the coming two days in a relaxed atmosphere.

The afternoon of the first event day kicked off with a presentation of new technological innovations for BIOTOP products by Peter Petrich, followed by a brief summary of the International Natural Pool Congress.
The international “Frog Prince” design competition held in the three categories Natural Pool, Living-Pool and Conversion & Refurbishment, with the winners selected from twelve nominees, was the next highlight during the event.

The evening at the panoramic meeting room on the 16th floor of the hotel then saw the awarding of prizes in the categories Retail Frog Prince, Innovation, Award for Exceptional Marketing and PR Activities, and the Golden Frog Prince. The stunning view of Rotterdam by night and the astonishing magic of a mentalist provided entertainment for the participants.

The final day of the event was reserved for technical presentations and experience reports as well as a rousing lecture on the topic of “How to sell services in gardening and landscaping”, which all participants listened to with interest and enthusiasm.
