The annual Biotop Partner Event took place in Vienna on 22–23 November 2018 beginning with the traditional cocktail reception held on the preceding Wednesday evening in the hotel sun room. Numerous participating Partners from across Europe followed the invitation and made use of this opportunity to exchange experiences.
Following a retrospect of 2018, technical innovations were presented by management and the technology department on Thursday morning. Like in previous years, the afternoon saw the voting for the Design Frog Prince awards.
The evening function was primarily devoted to the presentation of the Design Frog Prince trophies. In addition, the largest number of facilities built by a Partner was awarded the Golden Frog Prince (winner: Fuchs baut Gärten, Germany) and the Revenue Frog Prince was presented to the Partner with the highest revenue (winner: CEM Botanik, Turkey).
The gala dinner also featured an appeal for donations to the WWF ocean protection project ADRIA. The participating Partners pledged the impressive amount of more than EUR 10,000 during the dinner, and Biotop CEO Peter Petrich proceeded to double that number to EUR 20,000 with Biotop funds.
The second set of presentations on Friday included the preview of 2019 from the marketing perspective as well as an interesting talk on the topic of “Selling Living Pools Successfully” and the presentation of the new Biotop-Niveko monopool cooperation.
In parallel to this exciting conference programme, a sightseeing programme was also offered for accompanying travellers.
Motivated by the consistently positive feedback of the participants, planning for the 2019 Partner Event—for which London will be providing an attractive backdrop—has already begun.
